NY to CA day 9 - Panorama of the Bryce Canyon amphitheater from Inspiration Point. This is over a 180 degree field of view. Below are some details from the image above. They're not pretty, but they help with the sense of scale - both of Bryce itself and of the monster 39 megapixel image that's been resized above. The pillars of rock are called hoodoos (you do - do what? - remind me of the babe!) and the tiny marks like contour lines in the bottom image are the hiking trails.
